| "knowing eU"
Dear colleagues, Euclid is pleased to announce "knowing eU", a range of services to help you understand and access EU opportunities for the arts, culture, heritage and creative industries. knowing eU services can help you on your journey to EU funding – and, unlike the individual (and very useful) official contact points and information desks which focus on individual programmes, several knowing eU services provide an oversight across the range of relevant EU opportunities. knowing eU services include funding eU (CulturEuro seminars, and InfoDays & workshops on specific programmes), matching eU (an individualised report matching your organisation to EU opportunities), guiding eU (helping you prepare your application) and advising eU (helping you manage your successful project). funding eU events providing information on EU funding opportunities CulturEuro – these popular half-day seminars provide an overview of a broad range of EU opportunities relevant to the arts, culture, heritage and creative industries. There are still 8 CulturEuro seminars remaining in the current round – in Dundee, Inverness, Hereford, Nottingham, Brighton, Colchester, Lewisham and Plymouth – you can book for any Euclid event at www.euclid.info. Culture programme – Euclid provides occasional workshops to help applicants for Culture programme projects to complete the application forms Europe for Citizens – in the absence of a UK contact point, Euclid is launching occasional seminars to explain this programme in detail and help potential applicants understand the criteria and other requirements Erasmus+ - this complex programme, which supports projects linked to education, training and youth, offers a number of opportunities for arts, culture, heritage and the creative industries – both support for projects and small grants for individual or group mobility. Euclid is launching occasional seminars to explain these opportunities and help potential applicants understand the criteria and other requirements Occasional conferences / InfoDays – from time to time, Euclid presents conferences or InfoDays focusing on particular opportunities or funds. Recent events include the Interreg InfoDay (30 April 2014) and the Culture Delivers! conference on the EU Structural Funds (30 October 2013). The next event, in autumn 2014, will focus on opportunities for those in rural areas. matching eU a detailed analysis matching your organisation to EU opportunities Your organisation can get your own individualised matching eU report – on the basis of an assessment of your organisation’s objectives, activities, history, capacity and ideas, this report will provide an analysis of those EU funding opportunities which are most relevant to your needs and interests, and where you have the greatest chances of success. The cost of this report is £150 for a single organisation – with a £50 discount for Connexus members. This service can be provided for a group of 5 or more organisations for a discount of 20% per organisation (so it would be £600 for 5 organisations, or £400 if they are Connexus members). Organisations for whom Euclid has prepared such a report include the Hellenic Centre (London), Bradford College and Blackpool Council. To discuss a proposal, send an email to info@euclid.info. guiding eU help with your EU application Euclid can help you with your EU application – especially (but not exclusively) with your application to the Culture programme. We can review your application forms, including the budget, and provide feedback and analysis to ensure that your application has the strongest chance of success. Euclid can advise you to make sure you use the language, wording and content that will resonate the strongest with the jury members and maximise your chances of success. This service can be tailor-made to your needs on the basis of £60 per hour / £400 per day. It may be that you only need a review of your application form which will take just a few hours, or you may need more detailed input, including work on the detail of the budget, which may require 2 days or more. Organisations for whom Euclid has provided detailed advice and guidance in respect of their applications for EU funding include Bradford College, Grand Union Theatre, Northamptonshire County Council, Seachange Arts and Bury Metropolitan Borough Council. To discuss a proposal, send an email to info@euclid.info. knowing eU will be offering an increasing number of services across the EU – either online or on the ground – the first CulturEuro seminar outside the UK was presented in Copenhagen on 7 April 2014. Other services in development include partner eU (helping you find European partners) and a number of funding eU webinars on various EU funding opportunities. Full information on these services can be found at www.euclid.info/knowingeu. |
