Yannis Maroudas

Born in Athens, 1968.
He studied history at the Athens’ University and Cinematography at Eugenia Xatzikou Film School. Worked as director assistant in several TV series and programs and as free-lance copywriter for advertisement firms.
Since 1989 he has been working as a professional scriptwriter for television and cinema. In 1999 he published Scribola, a collection of Sci-Fi short stories. His play Children’s Voices won the 2nd National Award for Best New Writer in 1996.
His documentary Labyrinth was funded by the 2005 Media Program. Since 2007 he teaches scriptwriting in the Section of Cinema Studies of Aristotle’s National University of Thessaloniki.

Treasurer of the Board of the Scriptwriters' Guild of Greece since May 2007.
