International Film Festival of Patmos: Screenplay Competition with A. Darlasi in evaluation committee

The International Film Festival of Patmos invites screenwriters and directors to participate in a screenplay competition. The theme of the competition is "A NEW START". The winning screenplay will be turned into a short film, co-produced by OTE TV and SUGARHIGH FILMS. The short film will be screened at the International Film Festival of Patmos (2015) and on the OTE TV movie channels. 

The screenplays could cope with human relations, the internal search of a character, social issues, or even fantasy situations.

The competition is open to screenwriters and directors who want to send a short film script (from 5 up to 18 minutes). The deadline is: 27th of June 2014.

The screenplays will be evaluated by the following committee:

• Tassos Boulmetis (director)
• Alexandra Boussiou (producer)
• Steve Krikris ( director, artistic director of the International Film Festival of Patmos)
• Grigoris Kokkinakis (OTE TV and VOD cinema channels head manager)
• Agata Darlasi (storyteller, SUGARHIGH lab director, competition director)

The committee will choose the 5 dominant screenplays, and the names of the writers will be announced July 15th.

They will have the possibility to travel to Patmos during the International Film Festival. They will attend a two day workshop on pitching and they will present their screenplays to the committee in actual market conditions, so the committee will choose the best.

The winner will be announced on the 26th of July and will win the production of his movie. The production will take place on the fall 2014, by OTE TV and SUGARHIGH FILMS.

You can submit your screenplays until the 10th of June without participation fee.
From 11 until 27 of June there is a fee of 15 euro.
