The festival hosts hundreds of films from around the world each year, including a significant amount of premieres, aiming to promote contemporary cinema and the continuous development of a platform for dialogue between creators and the public. Furthermore, it organizes and hosts important thematic TRIBUTES, in the context of its creative parallel events.
The Festival, promoting the idea of digital cinema, defined and promoted the concept of New Cinema. It is the only festival in Greece and one of the few in Europe that has embraced all kinds of cinematic art. Designing its identity in detail it managed to become a favorite destination for filmmakers around the world, during these years. So, within this condition, a new generation of creators with open horizons and without dividing lines, is constantly emerging.
