Script guru Syd Field, author of perhaps the best selling and most beloved book on Screenwriting, died aged 77 last week. Syd was the guy who did the unthinkable - he wrote down how Hollywood movies get written, and shared that knowledge with the world. Syd, we will all miss you, you were the first to show us the path.
