She has written, in collaboration with Dimitris Evlampides, the original play “Blue Banana” [https://www.facebook.com/bluebanana.gr/], which was first staged in the Bar-Theatre “Void” in 2010–2011, directed by Constantinos Danikas and again in the “Center for the Arts Beton7” in 2011–2012, directed by Apollonia Tsanta.
In 2018, together with Dimitris Evlampides they co-wrote the neo-noir feature film “Blue Queen” [IMDB - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5464164/] directed and co-produced by Alexandros Sipsidis. The film run in movie theatres by Odeon Greece.
Moreover, she has written the play “Philoctetes P.O.V.” which is a monologue retelling based on Philoctetes by Sophocles. A point of view of Philoctetes himself, seen not as a hero, but as a human, as a disabled man, left alone, abandoned and excluded by the society due to his disability. A performance, that through symbolism, raises the subject of accepting anyone that differs, anything that feels “strange”. The play, directed by Apollonia Tsanta, was staged in various theatres such as in Duduloft, in Apollo Theatre in Syros etc. by the professional theater group THE.AM.A. (Theater for Disabled People) consisted of disabled and non-disabled actors.
She has also written TV and radio spots and various short films, including the short film “If rape was legal”, inspired by the homonymous story by Irvin D. Yalom, which she co-wrote with the director of the film, Alexandros Sipsidis [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3545786/].
In 2015, the short script “Nice to meet you, again”, which she co-wrote with Dimitris Evlambides, won a 2nd place award in the International Patmos Film Festival (IFFP).
She has taught screenwriting to beginners, between 2014-2018, in a hands-on cinema workshop seminar held by the Municipality of Vrilissia, in collaboration with the professor in charge and director, Alexandros Sipidis.
She recently started her own blog and YouTube channel under the title “Scriptwriting Tips”, where she posts texts and videos about story structure as well as various screenwriting tips for beginners. [https://scriptwritingtips.com/]
She loves the world of fairy tales and she has written many personalized tales for both children and grown-ups and she often offers to help aspiring screenwriters, by analyzing and suggesting possible corrections for their screenplays, always with respect to their personal vision.
She has translated into Greek five (5) pocket books for Harlenik Hellas Editions as well as the novel “Killer Smile” by Lisa Scottoline for Platypus Publications.
Finally, she is a disabled member of the “Greek Movement of Disabled Artists” [https://www.facebook.com/DisArtMove/] and the “Zero tolerance; Emancipation Movement for the Disabled” [https://www.facebook.com/mideniki.anoxi/], through which she fights for the rights of the disabled and for the promotion of their art, while in 2004, she represented Greece as an Expert speaker in the European Parliament in a public hearing about Disabled women and the Discrimination in the Member States of the European Union [https://goo.gl/oGhYK0].
