Comedy Actors Take Over Screenwriting Duties
The best comedy actors often write their own material and that is certainly the case with two of this issues best features. First, Eastbound & Down's Danny McBride goes medieval on us with Your Highness, a film he had to write mostly in his trailers on other films.
Hear his insightful thoughts on writing for budget and his role as the film's executive producer often clashed with his role as the screenwriter.
And next, we have Paul, about two friends who befriend an alien while visiting Area 51, written by Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz castmates Simon Pegg & Nick Frost.
Pegg and Frost have been friends for years and hatched this idea while simply joking around on set. Hear about the story's journey from that joke idea to a fully-realized comedy in CS.
