Η FSE διοργανώνει το Πρώτο της Φεστιβάλ για το σενάριο
Η Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση Σεναριογράφων (FSE) της οποίας η ΕΣΕ είναι ιδρυτικό μέλος, πραγματοποιεί έναν από τους στόχους της, τη διοργάνωση του πρώτου φεστιβάλ αποκλειστικά αφιερωμένου στους επαγγελματίες σεναριογράφους και το σενάριο. Το RISE (RENCONTRES INTERNATIONALES DES SCENARISTES EUROPEENS), θα φιλοξενηθεί από το δήμο του Στρασβούργου (Γαλλία), από τις 17 έως τις 21 Νοεμβρίου 2004. Η κατ’ εξοχήν αυτή ευρωπαϊκή πόλη, θα γίνει από δω και πέρα ο τόπος συνάντησης των επαγγελματιών του οπτικοακουστικού χώρου, οι οποίοι αναγνωρίζουν ότι το σενάριο συμβάλλει αποφασιστικά και ουσιαστικά στην ποιότητα τόσο του κινηματογραφικού, όσο και του τηλεοπτικού έργου.
Το πρόγραμμα του RISE 2004 είναι το εξής:

- υπάρχει ευρωπαϊκό πρότυπο φαντασίας ;
- το σενάριο : δυνατότητες συνεργασίας
- αποκεντροποίηση και συγγραφή μυθοπλασίας
Αφιέρωμα σ’έναν μεγάλο ευρωπαίο σεναριογράφο : ανοιχτό στο κοινό
Tonino Guerra – Προβολή 3 ταινιών από τη εργογραφία του σεναριογράφου
Αναγνώσεις : ανοιχτές στο κοινό
Για τον πρώτο χρόνο, 2 αναγνώσεις αδημοσίευτων σεναρίων, μία στα γαλλικά και μία στα αγγλικά και προβολή των ταινιών που γυρίστηκαν με βάση τα σενάρια αυτά.
Μαθήματα σεναρίου : ανοιχτά στο κοινό
Για τον πρώτο χρόνο, 2 μαθήματα σεναρίου από έναν πορτογάλο κι έναν βέλγο σεναριογράφο.
Το Μεγάλο Βραβείο Ευρωπαϊκού Σεναρίου
Πενταμελής επιτροπή αποτελούμενη από τρεις τουλάχιστον σεναριογράφους θα απονείμει το Μεγάλο Βραβείο Ευρωπαϊκού Σεναρίου, επιλέγοντας ανάμεσα στις ταινίες που εκπροσωπούν τις χώρες μέλη της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης Σεναριογράφων.
Για τον πρώτο χρόνο η συμμετοχή περιορίζεται στις κινηματογραφικές ταινίες, αλλά στο μέλλον θα συμμετέχουν και οι τηλεταινίες, τα ντοκυμαντέρ και τα κινούμενα σχέδια.
Προβολές : ανοιχτές στο κοινό
Εκτός από τις διαγωνιζόμενες ταινίες θα προβληθούν :
- ταινίες σεναριογράφων μιας ένωσης μέλους της FSE – φέτος η Ολλανδία
- αφιέρωμα-καλωσόρισμα στην Πολωνία
- επιτυχίες του Eurimages
- ταινίες εκτός συναγωνισμού –en avant- premiere
Αγορά σεναρίου : μόνο για επαγγελματίες
Συναντήσεις με παραγωγούς και σκηνοθέτες με σκοπό την παρουσίαση και πώληση σεναρίων.
Χώρος Multimedia
Συνάντηση των σεναριογράφων video games με το κοινό.

MARKET for SCRIPTS

Nowhere in Europe does this kind of initiative exist for scriptwriters, a platform to present and to sell scripts or writing projects and permitting direct contact between scriptwriters, directors, producers and other European scriptwriters. This important meeting should greatly increase collaboration between European professionals.
Moreover, these meetings will be the occasion for directors and producers to express their needs and to make common cause with the scriptwriters of future market expectations.
- The Script Market will be reserved only for professionals.
The script market must take place over the course of a single day. It is currently being organised with the European Producers Club/Club des Producteurs Européens and the FSE.
The operation will be as follows:
In the morning a mini-conference will be organised with, amongst others, Mr Christophe Pascal, lawyer and legal adviser to the FSE, on problems of contracts relating to co-productions and to the transfer of rights established under the © sign, and a case study on co-production, supported with documents provided by Eurimages.
Followed by meetings between PRODUCERS and AUTHORS.
The afternoon will be devoted to personal meetings between producers and scriptwriters, according to the following rules:
- Scriptwriters’ organisations are invited to request from their paid up members, (scriptwriters and cinematographers) who have in their CV at least 1 feature length film.
- They will be presenting to the European Producers Club a project not yet considered by a producer, or if the producer is looking for a partner (co-producer ), in the form of a SYNOPSIS or treatment, comprising about ten to twelve pages in length, in French or English with a "subject card" of one page, plus their CV and if they wish previous films in K7 or DVD.
- From the projects received, the European Producers Club and two professional readers will make a selection of 30 files.
- These will be put together in a "catalogue" which will then be presented to the participating producers one month before the market day in STRASBOURG.
- It will then be possible to organise for each selected author, personal and private meetings, sort of "speed-dating" with about three, maximum four producers interested in their proposed project. They will be able to present, develop and defend their project in ideal conditions.
- It is clear, that the producers, provided with these dossiers and other relevant materials, will have all the information needed to pursue contacts with the writers after the RISE in Strasbourg...
ON A PRACTICAL LEVEL:
Follow-up by FSE member organisations will be to diffuse to their paid up members and not yet paid up members (recruitment drive) with a CLOSING DATE for sending project proposals.
